Miron Mann

Title

Director of Racquets

Miron Mann has 36 years of tennis experience as a player and coach. A former top-5 junior in Canada, he won a national U14 doubles title and played Division 1 at the University of Utah, captaining the team to a conference title and achieving an NCAA doubles ranking of No. 6. After earning an ATP ranking and a Maccabiah Games silver medal, he transitioned to coaching in 2009 under Steve Smith. As Director of High Performance at Richmond Hill Country Club, he developed national champions and over 25 NCAA players, earning the 2011 Gary Caron Scholarship and 2019 Tennis Canada Coaching Excellence Award. A Tennis Canada Coach 3 and Mentor Coach, he has worked with Auger-Aliassime, Shapovalov, and Andreescu. As Richmond Hill’s Director of Racquets, he expanded programs and built a strong tennis community. Now, as Director of Racquets at Richmond Country Club, he is committed to enhancing programs and member engagement.

Carl Ho

High Performance Coach

Carl recently graduated from the University of New Mexico, with a Bachelor of Business Administration, where he was on a full tennis scholarship. As a junior Carl was ranked #1 in BC from 2006-2008 in both singles and doubles! He is currently ranked in the top 10 for men’s singles in BC. He has been coaching at RCC since 2013.

Joseph Ko

Title

Assistant Tennis Professional

Joseph joined the Richmond Country Club as an Assistant Tennis Pro in 2020. He has had fabulous tennis results, championing in Open and Junior Tournaments in Quebec and Ontario which allowed him to achieve a top 5 ranking in Canada (U16-U18) and a Canadian Open Men’s Ranking in the top 35. Joseph worked with the Tennis Montreal Excellence Team for 7 years as a Coach and was selected as a Hitting Coach and Assistant Coach for the Canadian National Team for over 2 years. His certification includes Tennis Canada Instructor and Coach 1, and he can speak French, English, and Korean. Joseph is sure to challenge you, improve your skills, and take your game to the next level.

Jane Sun

Assistant Tennis Professional

Jane has over 34 years of experience as a professional tennis instructor and international player. From 1992-2000 she coached at Shizuoka-Fujieda-Shi Surugadai Lawn Tennis Club for adult and children, beginners to advanced. She enjoys teaching strategic maneuvers and techniques for singles and doubles. Her strength is instructing the theoretical fundamentals of tennis. Some of her accomplishements include a 1st place finish at the 2004 Blue Mountain Open Mixed Doubles and a 2nd place finish at the China Open Mixed Doubles. Jane is fluent in both English and Mandarin.

Pat Macken

Assistant Tennis Professional

Pat has a wealth of knowledge of the game as he has been a Coach and Director of Tennis at the Arbutus Club in Vancouver for over 34 years. Pat is certified Tennis Canada Coach 3 and Club Pro 2. He continues to compete at a National level and is one of the best players in his category in Vancouver and Canada. He specializes in doubles so if you are looking for some work on your game let us know. Pat will be staying on at Arbutus until June but will be slowly transiting to RCC and will have limited hours until then.

Ryan Zebo

Richmond Country Club is excited to welcome Ryan to our coaching team, where he will play a key role in leading and developing our Progressive Tennis programs. With over 30 years of full-time coaching experience, Ryan has dedicated the past 20 years to specializing in the development of athletes under 10. He has served as High Performance Director at three of Canada’s premier tennis development centers and has worked as both a National Touring Coach and Provincial Training Centre (PTC) coach for Ontario’s 9U and 10U programs. A certified Club Pro 2, Coach 3, and Wheelchair Coach, Ryan is passionate about creating disciplined and engaging learning environments that help young athletes build strong fundamentals, confidence, and a lifelong love for the game.

Jason Nybo

Jason is entering his third year at the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University and has been playing tennis for over 14 years, including training at RCC since the age of 8. With a strong background in high-performance tennis, he currently competes as one of the top players on the Queen’s Varsity Tennis Team, playing both singles and doubles, where the team has achieved top finishes in Ontario. Jason is passionate about the game and is excited to share his experience and enthusiasm with RCC members. He looks forward to working alongside RCC’s experienced coaching team while helping players of all levels continue to develop and enjoy the sport. Jason is also fluent in both English and Mandarin, allowing him to connect with and support a wide range of members within the RCC community.

Nermin Hoxhiq

We are thrilled to welcome Nermin Hoxhiq to our RCC coaching team! Nermin is an accomplished player with 18 years of competitive experience and 5 years of coaching expertise. Originally from Montenegro, where he was a top-ranked player, he also competed internationally as an ITF-ranked athlete and proudly represented his country in the Davis Cup for two years. His junior career highlights include a gold medal in doubles and a bronze medal in singles at the Youth Olympics in Italy. Nermin has been living in Vancouver for nearly a year and most recently coached at the North Vancouver Tennis Centre. We look forward to supporting his growth and having him share his passion for the game with our members at RCC.

Edin Sehovic

Title

Personal Trainer

Edin Sehovic played high-level competitive junior tennis and spent 10 years teaching tennis and directing camps for all ages at the Stoney Creek Tennis Club, and Rosedale Tennis Club in Hamilton Ontario. Edin also spent much time at the Barcelona Tennis Academy working with Elite level Juniors and touring pro tennis players (ATP and WTA) on the court and in the gym. Edin obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science in Nutrition and Food and also a degree with CanFitPro certifications in fitness and personal training. His degrees and certifications have allowed him to expand his knowledge of nutrition for sport performance and overall health and wellness. His passion in life is working with individuals to see them achieve their goals moving towards better health and wellness in tennis, fitness and nutrition.
